Wemu

Wemu is a lifestyle app for Muslims who need prayer information, worship resources, and direction tools during the day. After location access is enabled, it can calculate local prayer times, provide Athan audio before prayers, and bring related Quran, remembrance, calendar, and community sections together in one place.

Checking local prayer times and prayer reminders

When prayer times need to match a user's current location, Wemu uses location information to show the relevant schedule. Its prayer section provides times for the daily prayers and can play the Athan before each one. The setup also includes reminder options, so users can configure the app around their location and daily worship needs.

Reading and listening to the Quran

The Quran Kareem section supports reading, audio recitations from various famous reciters, and translations in nearly 10 languages. It also supports Khatam Quran activity, giving users a place to continue their Quran completion practice alongside listening and translated reading.

Finding the Qibla in a new place

When the direction of prayer is unfamiliar, the Qibla section provides a compass that points toward the Kaaba. This makes the direction tool relevant when users are away from their usual surroundings or need to orient themselves before prayer.

Using Islamic calendar and remembrance tools

The Hijri section lets users look up the Islamic calendar for future prayer times and record daily prayers. For regular remembrance, Azkar includes Dua and remembrance drawn from Hadiths and the Quran, presented for reading and recitation.

Counting Tasbih and Dua repetitions

Wemu includes an electronic Tasbih and prayer-bead counter. Users can use the counter to keep track while reading a prayer or Dua, rather than relying on a physical counting method.

Connecting with the Muslim community

The Discover and Chat area supports conversations with other Muslims. Users can share reflections about Quran recitation, send and receive blessings, and post questions for answers from the community.

Preparing for Hajj and Umrah

For pilgrimage preparation, Wemu includes a guide covering Hajj and Umrah ritual procedures and frequently asked questions. This section is intended to keep procedural information and common pilgrimage questions available within the same worship-focused app.
